ISM eCompany was a participant of Lvov’s e-Learning Forum 2010 (12/03/2010)
On 11-th March ISM eCompany made reports of 3 main questions at Lvov’s e-Learning Forum 2010.
• Choosing the best e-learning tool for
solving problems of company
There are large numbers
of products on the software market for creating and
publishing of learning content, which significantly differ
from each other in their technologies, functionalities and price.
University or commercial company faces with the need to define what
system will be the most suitable for solving its problems, when it
try to select the content creation system. During the report we
have :
- selected market niches, in which there is a need for
e-learning tools;
- formed criteria for evaluating and selecting system in the
process of training content creation;
- demonstrated the most popular system for creating content -
for example, exactly the process of selection.
• Interaction between business and education: why it
doesn't work in Ukraine.
Fundamental concept of " economics, which is based on knowledge" is
the interchange between business and education, as it is called
transfer of the technology and knowledge. It is assumed that
education represented by universities, provides business with new
knowledge, born within their walls, and business, in its turn,
provides universities with up-to -day technologies and other
resources, which are required for the generation of new
knowledge. It is obvious, in Ukraine this exchange is coming mainly
in one direction: business provides universities both with
technologies and advanced knowledge. What is the best way to change
such situation and encourage universities to generate new
knowledge? The response was given in our report.
• Co-creation of learning content by specialists of
various fields.
During the economic crisis companies
and universities prefer to create learning content by their own
efforts, instead of attracting third- party developers. But in the
process of development they face with such problems as: designers
and programmers, creating a design course, require freedom as much
as possible, while experts in subject area (most of them are not
programmers) need easy add and edit content with the minimal
changes. Collaborative system of training content creation
can resolve this contradiction. It allows editing its content
and designing individually. This report was devoted to the
consideration of this concept on the example of such
system.
