IKEA: eLearning for managers 
Better insight and more control over profitable variables.
 
Assignment
Develop a digital course where managers of the restaurants within IKEA affiliates are schooled in the ways of variables which according to IKEA will contribute to the extra profit of the IKEA affiliate as a whole. The course has to connect to and be available to employees of IKEA all over the world.
 
Solution
IKEA identified a number of variables which, when used properly can contribute tot making a profit. This not only counts for the restaurants, but for the entire IKEA affiliate. ISM eCompany translated these variables to a digital learning environment. Through a insightful navigation users are lead through the matter. The course with its easy user interface is very accessible but at the same time challenging.
 
The package consists of:
An introduction: how do I use this software?
A module which shows the user step by step with which factors the restaurant manager can influence the total profit of the IKEA affiliate.
A simulation mode: here exercises can be done, wherein every time different variables are changed. Next the total result is given.
 
Result:
The software application has first been deployed in the affiliates in the United States and have been received with a lot of praise. Some of the reactions by the users:
