New platform guarantees optimal
service for Wim Bosman
Wim Bosman is a logistical
supplier who has been offering its service for transport and
logistics throughout Europe since 1963. For their eBusiness Wim
Bosman has already been counting on the professional support of ISM
eCompany for quite some years. Last year the new version of ISM
eCompany’s web content management system Sana Sites was
deployed.
Rich experience
Peter Derksen as Teamleader
E-Logistics at Wim Bosman is responsible for the different
eBusiness processes, such as the customer contacts through
internet, the maintenance of the eBooking package and the
eMarketing. He tells more about the background of the cooperation
between Wim Bosman and ISM eCompany. "Every since 1998
Codim/Landis-IM has supported our eBusiness. After CODIM was bought
by ISM eCompany in 2005 we again chose this company, because of the
broad experience with the many different eCommerce
possibilities."
The new platform
The CMS which Wim Bosman was using
had gotten aged and the manner in which the website was being found
was sorely lacking. "After a solid preselection we chose ISM
eCompany, because we were looking for a party which could offer a
total solution. Our four labels Rutges, Cargo, Maenhout, Wim Bosman
and System plus, and the link with the different websites, had to
be migrated to a new platform", Derksen comments. The goal: to
easily manage all websites through one platform which offers
support to the whole.
Sites and sub-sites
The new Sana Web CMS offers
support based on these four brands to 12 different websites. Also
the different subsites are multilingual and that also had to be
manageable. Peter Derksen continues: "The four brands of Wim Bosman
of course look alike but they do have unique online characteristics
and a specific environment." It will also be possible to work with
authorizations of multiple persons. This way the platform will be
maintained selectively by certain persons
Direct results
The implementation of the new
platform has also ensured a better result for the main site. Peter
Derksen illustrates. "The number of visitors through Google Organic
has risen from several percents to more than 20 percent, without
separate tagging of the pages with keywords specific for the page.
Using the Service Suggestion Mode visitors can immediately see
which services are offered where, thanks to a worldview. This has
led to a rise in the number of requests from our standard countries
but also from quite different destinations.
Reasoning from a visitor point of
view
Because of the new structure
within the new platform, Wim Bosman is able to better categorize
the website, which is very important for the overview in customers,
as Derksen notices. "It is important to be able to reason from a
visitor point of view and from what that visitor sees of our
service. That certainly has improved. With the new larger overview
of the divisions European Distribution, Logistics and Air &
Ocean we can see what specifically is a part of this. That is
important for every company. In the end it is all about the
service."
Raising profits and saving
costs
Working with the renewed Sana
platform fits well into Wim Bosman’s strategy for the coming
year, Peter Derksen clarifies. "In 2009 we want to bring the site
under attention so the profits can be raised and costs can be
saved. Every new lead is very important to us."
Future
Peter Derksen: "ISM eCompany has
taken care that the new platform has given us good results. After
an extensive process the implementation has been finished
successfully. Now we get to the actual maintenance of the website.
It is important to keep booking great results in the future. ISM
eCompany in 2005 built a tracking and tracing system. This lowers
the costs and raises the service for the 3000 daily packages we
move for our customers. In 2009 ISM eCompany will further renew
this system, according to the latest standards and service levels.
This raises the service level. It is all about service, so this has
to be maximized on the internet."

Derksen is very content about the
service offered by ISM eCompany. "The programmers in the Ukraine
went to work very professionally. Our demands have been translated
to the daily practice of our work very well. Because they thought
along with us very well we also realized new solutions. Thanks to
ISM eCompany the backoffice and the integration with the backoffice
have been optimized. This way a unique total solution was realized:
we like that." Again, a new highpoint in the many years of
cooperation between Wim Bosman and ISM eCompany.
